Mrs. Linda MacLennan Toddler Teacher
the Lead Toddler teacher at St. Mary Child Development Center. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education from Georgetown College in Georgetown, Kentucky. My experience in education includes two years teaching fourth grade, one year third grade, 6 months in sixth grade, and over four years substitute teaching in the Troy School District for kindergarten through sixth grade.
I have also spent two years teaching two year old children at KinderCare and Meadowbrook Nursery Schools which are both located in Troy. A few years were also spent selling Real Estate in Troy.
My husband and I have had the privilege of raising three children of our own and presently have four grandchildren. Personal interests include art, theater, travel, interior decorating, reading novels, flower gardening, pie baking, and for mental stimulation crossword puzzles and Sudoku.
My philosophy for education is the understanding that children see themselves through the eyes of their teachers, care givers and parents. If we treat children as if they are bad in their behavior or are incapable in their learning, then they will begin to see themselves as bad or incapable. Encouragement for children is a much better way to help them to realize their full potential. While teaching in a Christian School, we can expect to be seen as ambassadors for God and should respond accordingly
